The Goat Yard is a family-owned boatyard on the Detroit River in Detroit, Michigan. This policy explains what information we collect through goatyardmarine.com and how we use it. Questions? Email dockmaster@goatyardmarine.com.

Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, phone number, and billing address.

Boat and service information. When you request storage or service we collect details about your boat (name, make, model, length, width, hull type), the services you select, scheduling preferences, and your electronic signature agreeing to our payment terms.

Billing information. Invoices and payments are processed through QuickBooks (Intuit). We store invoice and payment status — we do not store your credit card or bank account numbers on our servers.

We use your information to provide storage and marine services, schedule haul-outs and jobs, prepare quotes and invoices, process payments, send service-related emails (quote links, invoices, receipts, scheduling updates), and respond to your requests.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.

QuickBooks / Intuit. Customer names, contact details, billing addresses, and invoice data are shared with Intuit to issue invoices and process payments. Intuit's own privacy policy applies to their systems.

Service providers. We use hosting and email delivery providers to operate the site and send transactional email. They process data only on our behalf.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our customers, our staff, or our property.

Accounts are protected by password-based authentication with encrypted sessions, and access to customer records is limited to authorized yard staff. We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services and meet legal and accounting obligations.

You can update your contact and boat information at any time from your account page. To request deletion of your account and personal data, email dockmaster@goatyardmarine.com. Note that invoicing and payment records may be retained as required for accounting and tax purposes.

We use only the cookies and local storage required to keep you signed in and operate the site. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

If we update this policy we will post the new version here with a revised date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
